Hanuman’s Heroic Deeds in Ashok Vatika

In the heart of Lanka, where evil reigned and hope flickered faintly, a divine force descended to bring light and assurance to the distressed. That divine force was none other than Hanuman, the beloved servant of Lord Ram. In a captivating narrative shared by Baba Shri Raj Mahajan Ji, we are taken deep into the episode of Hanuman’s legendary visit to Ashok Vatika, where he not only meets Mother Sita but also initiates a powerful sequence of events that shake the foundations of Ravana’s golden city.

Hanuman in Ashok Vatika: Assurance to Mother Sita

As Baba Ji narrates, Hanuman reaches Ashok Vatika where Mata Sita, tormented by separation and despair, sits beneath a tree. When Hanuman introduces himself as Ram’s messenger, her heart finds solace. With unwavering devotion, Hanuman assures her that if Lord Ram had commanded him, he would have carried her back on his shoulders instantly. But since Ram had not ordered it, the divine plan was still unfolding.

Mother Sita feels deeply comforted and blesses Hanuman with divine boons—the Ashta Siddhis (eight perfections) and Nava Nidhis (nine treasures). She proclaims that Ram’s grace will always remain with him. Upon hearing this, Hanuman dances joyfully and repeatedly bows to her feet.

Hanuman’s Power Unleashed

As narrated by Guru Shri Raj Mahajan Ji, Hanuman expresses his hunger, eyeing the ripe fruits in the Ashok Vatika. Sita warns him of the mighty demons guarding the garden, but Hanuman cheekily reminds her that she just blessed him with unparalleled strength—”Let me test it now,” he says.

With Lord Ram in his heart, Hanuman starts feasting on the fruits and begins uprooting trees, causing mayhem in the Vatika. The demon guards confront him, but he overpowers and defeats them easily. As Baba Shri Raj Mahajan Ji humorously recounts, Hanuman even tells one surviving demon, “Go tell your king Ravana what happened here!” That demon scurries to Ravana, reporting how a powerful monkey destroyed the garden and defeated all the guards.

Ravana’s Fury and the Fall of Akshay Kumar

Enraged, Ravana sends more warriors. Hanuman, undeterred, lets out a mighty roar and crushes them too. Eventually, Ravana dispatches his own son, Akshay Kumar, along with a strong battalion.

But Hanuman, as Baba Ji vividly narrates, plucks a huge tree, hurls it at Akshay Kumar, and ends his life in a single blow. The scene becomes a battlefield of flying demons, crushed warriors, and roaring might as Hanuman demonstrates his invincibility.

The Arrival of Meghnad and the Might of Hanuman

Hearing of his brother’s death, Meghnad (Indrajit), Ravana’s most formidable son, prepares to face Hanuman. Baba Ji passionately describes Meghnad as a powerful and cunning warrior, yet no match for the Pavan Putra.

Their clash resembles a battle of titans—two colossal elephants locked in combat. Hanuman picks up another tree and smashes Meghnad’s chariot. With each blow, he defeats elite warriors, one after another, eventually rendering Meghnad unconscious for 28 minutes.

When Meghnad regains consciousness, he resorts to dark magic and illusionary warfare (maya), but Baba Ji proclaims with authority—Hanuman, the blessed son of the wind god, cannot be bound by illusion or fear. Endowed with Sita’s blessings and divine purpose, Hanuman continues to overwhelm the forces of evil.
